Jan 1 While we're talking about X-Men, how about and "X and the City"

While we’re talking about dream X-Men teams, I feel the need to also put out into the world that we are overdue for a Sex and the City-inspired series starring some of X-Men’s most-ignored characters; Jubilee, Dazzler, Boom Boom, and Skids.

SKIDS - SALLY BLEVINS

Sally has the power to create a frictionless force field that not only protects her body from harm but also allows her to “skate” on her field as it deflects kinetic energy from impacts and falls. She’s lived in the sewers with the Morlocks, she was a part of X-Factor, and formed a team called the X-Terminators with her friends Boom-Boom, Rusty Collins, and Rictor - who are all super-fun B-level characters that would be great as come-and-go plot contributions in a sexy show in the City! She’s worked with X-Corps and SHIELD and would be a great sub in for Miranda Hobbes

BOOM BOOM - TABITHA SMITH

Tabitha is from Virginia and ran away from home at an early age. She’s been in multiple X-teams including X-Factor and X-Terminators with the aforementioned Skids. She was in the series Nextwave where she was used more as a comedic foil to a team of other B-list heroes like Monica Rambeau, Elsa Bloodstone, and Aaron Stack where her mutant ability was described as “… the ability to blow things up and steal all your stuff.” She also likes jetpacks and is immune to mind-warping abilities because she “… had no mind to warp.” So dumb.

DAZZLER - ALISON BLAIRE

Alison has the ability to convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams and she was created to pander to Disco fans in the 80s. She likes to hide the fact that she’s a mutant and lives life as a pretty famous musician but she still gets down and dirty with the S-Men from time to time and she has a storied romance with the three-fingered extra-dimensional wanderer, Longshot. She’s also a great roller-skater.

JUBILATION LEE

Jubilee loves shopping, she was a sidekick to Wolverine and knows how to throwdown, she’s a reformed day-walking vampire, and she has an adopted baby. She’s funny, moody, and loves being a hero so much that when faced with losing her powers, she got some crazy gauntlets that gave her super strength and took the name Wondra to join the New Warriors.

Now imagine all the supporting characters that could come through a series like this - following these ladies through their lives in the big city.
