Me, talking about poop on WESH 2 News

I’ve been covering a recurring shitty issue at a local apartment complex for roughly three years.

A privately-owned lift station has had some regular spills that discharge thousands of gallons of raw sewage into a beautiful nearby lake. I’d lost count of how many times it has happened but I’m fairly certain it’s around five or six times at this point. Not that it matters, as one is one time too many.

There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the property owner, and the City of Orlando on what to do to keep it from happening again so I’ve delighted in being a squeaky wheel about the whole thing every time it happens.
