An explosive, and socially-distant, birthday party
With my birthday being on Halloween, I’ve found it to be an annual tradition to get all geared up so I can spend a night on the town. This year, I opted for something a big more relaxed.
The Orlando Science Center is hosting the last stop of the traveling Pompeii exhibit and as part of their outreach they’ve installed a mini volcano in nearby Loch Haven Park that is set to erupt every hour. So I put out a holler to my friends that I’d be stationed in the park all morning, eating and drinking and wearing a toga, and if they wanted to come toga party with me, they’d be more than welcome.
It was a totally unplanned, random day, and I have to say, one of the happiest moments in my year thus far.
