This is a lot of “me” content but where else can you hear all about what I’m up to without reading my Google calendar?

My brother and I are in the Library of Congress!

My brother and I are in the Library of Congress!

So, I was lucky enough to be asked by the Orange County Regional History Center to participate in a StoryCorps interview with my brother, Patrick O'Connor. They kind of set us free to discuss whatever we wanted for 40-minutes straight so what follows is a clunky, tangent-filled discussion of our life in Northern Ontario and here in Orlando.

StoryCorps was asked to come to the History Center in recognition of their 2019 National Medal for Museum and Library Service. I was asked to give a testimonial on their service as part of their application for the award, so the Center administrators nominated me as one of the interviews to be documented by StoryCorps, which is part of the National Medal Award package.

The interview will now be filed in the Library of Congress and archived at the History Center, forever. Such a huge honor for me and my brother and I’m so thankful to have been given the opportunity.

You can listen to it HERE.
