Milk crate furniture for a local Main Street District
About a year ago I submitted a grant proposal to the local chapter of the Awesome Foundation for a special project with a local Main Street District.
Long story short, we got the grant, and the time has finally come to see it be put to use. In partnership with Zac Alfson at the Milk District Main Street, we’ve hired on a local woodworker friend of mine, Robert Henry Thompson, to assemble a number of milk crate furniture pieces that will be gifted to Milk District businesses to help increase outdoor seating during the pandemic.
The pieces are cute, functional, on-brand for the district, and relatively cheap to produce! I’m so excited to see them in use and can’t wait to snap some more photos of them when people are drinking beers on them … from a social distance.
Special thanks to Elise Sabatino and Giovanni Fernandez who helped fund the project so we could hire on a professional woodworker to make our dream a reality.
