Dabbling in Artificial Intelligence-generated art

A designer friend invited a demon into my life, and that demon is the incredibly addictive Midjourney, artificial intelligence art tool on Discord. You can type in whatever word prompt you’d like (nothing dirty) and then a program searches the internet for images that fall into those categories - and creates a completely new image from all of them. And the results can be stunning, or just stunned.

These were some of the first ones I came up with so forgive the painterliness of them.

The prompt on this was a “moose in the city surrounded by fireflies” which came up with some really fun abstract shapes and forms. The bottom right is my most favorite because it almost looks like a petroglyph.

This prompt was a “werewolf, handsome man, beard” moment and they came out kind of foxy - in more than one way.

This one was way wrong, with a prompt of “man with black hair, beard, with blue birds in them,” but the results are super fun. That top right one is so moody, and I love that pencil crayon texture that came out too.

If you really like one of your options you can choose to blow one of them up and I went with this gorgeous piece. This was a “Tom of Finland drag queen” prompt and I thought it was so funny that it was just a stud with eye shadow. But still very androgynous and sexy. And that blue leather jacket is so liquid.
