Bingo is a blast

I’m in the fourth month of my bingo residency at Tactical Brewing in Baldwin Park and absolutely loving it!

Every Tuesday at 7 p.m., I get to waddle into the brewery and play five-ish rounds of bingo for a room full of happy faces. It’s been great to see a whole new group of regulars coming out each and every week and then see some new faces who may start out a bit reticent at the beginning but end up having a ball by the end. I don’t even do any death drops!

I think I started it a bit cocky when my friend/drag mom, Doug “Taffy Pinkerbox” Bowser, started letting me tag along every once in a while. I run the same flow he did, and even drop some of his tried-and-true jokes along the way, but it’s been a fun journey to spice it up a bit and make it my own each week and I think I’m finally starting to really figure it out.

Last week’s bingo was packed and my radio cohost, Jon Busdeker, even brought his mom - pictured. You can watch a video on my Insta where I was a little tipsy from a great evening and a few 10% beers they just put on tap.
