Thing #1 - Super-amazing, flawless Black princesses
I’ve been inhaling The Crown on Netflix lately so I’m a bit thirsty for stories about monarchies. Enter the world of Black princesses - which is not mentioned nearly enough for my liking! The video above is a story about Queen Victoria’s adopted daughter, Princess Omoba Aina or “Princess Sarah Forbes Bonetta.” The better rabbit holes to jump down are Princess Elizabeth of Toro who was also a model, actor, and lawyer - she later became a Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador to the US, Germany, and the Vatican. Or the amazing Princess Sara Gizaw of Ethiopia, or Princess Fatima Massaquoi of Liberia.
