Thing #1 - Assquatches are real

According to SadAndUseless.com, lonely taxidermists are turning deer butts into “assquatches” or rather, sasquatch heads made from asses. It’s real, and you can’t unsee it.

Thing #2 - Retro televisions make great cat beds

When paired with the proper wallpaper, bedding, and houseplant combo, retro television sets can make for excellent and tasteful cat beds. Or at least, that what the geniuses over at @VintageInteriorXX want us to think.

Thing #3 - We need more urban cowboys

Have you heard of The Federation of Black Cowboys before? They’re New York City’s Best Kept Secret and I’m mad I haven’t heard more about them. They formed in the early nineties and they’re coolest tribe of urbanites I’ve hard of in a long time.

Thing #4 - Combining adventure with social responsibility

“Heritage Stewardship” is such a refreshing new idea to me. These young Black divers are reclaiming their history and working to restore their lost cultural heritage and work to preserve the ocean. They are literally bringing stories to the surface and I think it is so refreshing. What a powerful and healing process to be a part of.

Thing #5 - Zombie-proof retreat under an interstate

Fernando Abellans is a self-taught designer and he loves to play with the City and its forms. He made a prefabricated micro-studio that slides under an interstate as an innovative retreat that sparks the imagination to other activations we should be looking at as we become ever-more dependent on living in urban environments.
