THINGS I TRIPPED OVER ON THE INTERNET TODAY, DECEMBER 14
Thing #1 - Learning to live adventurously from a suspiciously Swedish looking handsome man
He’s hot and he wants me to go camping. Preferably with him.
I need a constant reminder to step outside of my norm and do things that help me expand my boundaries.
Thing #2 - A soundtrack from the 70s to help houseplants grow
This super-cool guy I just started chumming around with introduced me to Mort Garson’s “Mother Earth’s Plantasia” record, which was laid down in 1976 to allegedly help plans grow with its warm vibes. The record was specifically made for a small store called Mother Earth in Los Angeles where people who got a special product would get the record as a bonus. It has a cult following since it is seen as a very early precursor to electronic music and used a Moog synthesizer.
Thing #3 - Joe Manganiello talking about Dungeon’s and Dragons
Joe reminds me more and more of the people we used to hang out with growing up in Northern Ontario. I could totally chill with him and roll some dice, if I ever had the patience to play a board game again! I used to love playing D&D with my brother and we spend whole summers running super elaborate campaigns inspired by all the books and movies we were gobbling up.
Thing #4 - A Bauhaus ballet that I want to go to
If this ever gets reproduced, I’m going to sleep with whomever I need to in order to be involved. Also, these costumes are amazing. Total Michelin Man Does Ballet realness. Oscar Schlemmer, a German painter, sculptor, choreographer, and all-around Creative, is most famous for his Triadisches Ballett, which featured actors in geometrical representations of the human body.
Thing #5 - One of the coolest movie trailers ever
“PG: Psycho Goreman” is the movie I never knew I needed and it’s another reason to look forward to 2021. It’s written and directed by special effects guru Steven Kostanski and is all about a dangerous alien that is being controlled by a fancy amulet. Fantastic.
Thing #6 - Would you make out with your unrelated identical twin?
According to this random video, it’s estimated that there are an estimated seven matches for every face in the world. Which leads me to believe that there’s either a glitch in the matrix, or we were all descended from the same original group of humans that crash landed on Earth from Mars after we destroyed the atmosphere there. Convince me I’m wrong.
