I'm officially a male model now, kind of

So, when someone asks you to model for them, you are programmed to immediately say “yes.”

Right?

It may just be me.

My friend Jacki Mick, who I used to work with at the Orlando Weekly, is now the marketing director at Fairvilla Megastore, a Florida-based sexy shop. They sell toys and things for people who are super adventurous and bored with human contact. Things that make me giggle when I see them in person.

Jacki asked me to be a model for their Pride Month collateral and I thought she was joking. But then she said they were looking for a “normal dude,” read, “dumpy" so I signed on.

They hired local photographer Lee Vandergrift to snap the pics - which was a fun 360 as I had actually interviewed him for Watermark back in 2016 - more on that HERE.

The campaign has since run and I’ve only seen a wee bit of the collateral and this behind the scenes shot is the only one I’m going to share at the moment.

While I’m nervous that I took part in a public campaign while at my fattest weight ever, I’m still glad I did it!
