This is a lot of “me” content but where else can you hear all about what I’m up to without reading my Google calendar?

A dream come true ... vibing in front of a historic neon sign downtown

This year, the folks at Creative City Project had a sit down with artists they’d partnered with in the past and asked us all to brainstorm with them about what we could do together for the 2025 festival. I’ve already mentioned the pigeons, but I also let slip one of my biggest dreams, which was to showcase a historic neon sign from the Morse Museum collection.

And those crazy fuckers did it. They won over the museum. They worked it out with City permitting (which is no small feat), helped finish the restoration, and then they built a whole custom base for it to be displayed downtown. Under two of my pigeons.

I asked my friend DJ Zouain to come do his thing if he was okay with me vibing out next to him for two nights in a row and I think we really did something special. It was like we really helped to establish a safe space for the queers, and “the others,” and a spot for people to take a minute and let loose. And let loose they did! I can’t wait to do it again.
