Aged pearl queens we don't deserve

A while ago, I came across the photography of the amazing Polish photographer Marcin Nagraba (Instagram). Her work is steeped in Slavic pagan idolatry and rituals I know nothing about but I can smell the incense through my computer screen. Her subjects are always wrapped in opulent jewelry and headdresses and fabrics so layered and thick you’d need a chainsaw to hack through it all … so obviously, I love her.

I tried to do prompt Midjourney, the AI platform you know I’m obsessed with, to do something along those lines that are more coastal … more Atlantean in nature and the outcomes have been pretty breathtaking. I’ve got an Amazon cart full of extra large pearl beads and wire and lace waiting for me to order so I can start making some of these for real.
